I like the colour in this rock/crystal, it is a very rich almost lavender blue, I think it is most likely a secondary colour because it doesn't look pure blue it looks like it is slightly purple so it must have some red tones in it. I like the texture also, it would be great to use over collage with chalk or charcoal, or just with acrylic. I also like the contrast between the blue and the white because it makes the blue seem brighter and bolder. I like how the tones of the blue get darker as you got upwards, I like the darker tones you see where the crystal/rock comes outwards leaving a shadow beneath.
I like this photograph because I like how the focus is just on the tiny crystal. I like the colours of this crystal, they are quite cool colours on the colour wheel being mainly grey, purple, green and blue. I like how the lighter tones of the colours contrast with darker tones to show you each and every crevice and edge of the rock. I especially like the bit that has a light green colour that shows the surface which is surrounded by a very dark blue. The texture is a mixture between smooth and rough, you could probably combine both collage and other techniques to represent this.
I like this photograph because even though it only consists of black, white and grey I like how you the different lighter grey and white tones show you the different crystal shapes, edges and crevices of the crystal. The biggest contrast is the dark tones of the shadow next to the crystal, there is also a part on the left of the crystal that is very dark grey/black which contrasts with the rest of the shell. I think charcoal alone is too dark for this crystal so perhaps I would use white chalk also, or I would just use white chalk on black paper as the crystal is mainly white.
I like this photograph because I like how you can see the different surfaces that the light is reflecting off. I like the different tones of the secondary purple that make up the majority of this crystal. I like the texture of this crystal because it is quite rough and the different shades of purple let you see all of the different crevices and edges of the crystal. There is a contrast between the purple and the white crystal areas on this crystal, I think the white crystals work well and as there are few of them the dark and lighter tones of the purple makes the white stand out more.
I love this photo, I like how clear the crystal is and how you even though the crystal/rock is primarily blue you can see all of the different colours, red, green, yellow, purple. I am pretty sure that this Bismuthum. I like how you can see all of the fine lines from each tiny edge and crevice on the element and the contrast between difference surfaces that show each edge. You could probably do this in charcoal but it would have to be on a large scale to allow you to get the fine lines.
I like the contrast of the lighter and darker tones in this crystal/rock that make the shape of all of the different layers in the crystal/rock. I can see a pinky/red, maybe blue, white black, brown, a bronzey/brown, perhaps some blue? I didn't really choose it for the colour, I chose it because I like the pattern and the different tones in this crystal/rock. It has quite a smooth texture from where it has been cut, but you can see slightly on the top, and the edge around the outside that the outside surface is quite rough.
I like the colour in this rock, it is a mix between blue, purple/blue, an aqua blue, turquoise, and teal with a greyish area. The texture is quite rough which you can see from the lighter and darker tones of the colours which create shadowed areas showing the lumps, crevices and edges of the rock. I think that I should probably go back and try and get better image that flatters this rock more as the image is a bit hazy and not as clear as some of the other images.
I like the subtle pink and red tones in this crystal on the white. The texture is quite rough with lots of tiny crevices. I like the lighting in the photo, how it is very light on the right and is darker with shadows on the left, I think it is quite subtle. I like how clear the crystal is in this photograph and how the one in the background is less focused.
I like the dark blue, grey and black tones in this rock/crystal. The texture is rough which you can see from the light which reveals all of the crevices and edges on the rock/crystal. I like the angle of the rock/crystal and how it is more in focus at the front. I like the contrast between the dark tones of the crystal and the light tones of the white background.
I like how the light reflects on this crystal to create silvery, white and slight pink colours on the crystal. I think the texture is quite smooth even though it has lots of crevices and edges, they have a larger surface area. I like the angle of this photo it almost looks like the crystal is floating with the placement of the lighting and the shadows that are below it. There is not much contrast between the different colours and tones on this crystal, the main reason you can see it is 3D is the parts that are pure white from the reflection of the light.
